So after a few months of work i have finally finished with the 1999 Ford E-350 6.8L V10. The original need was to replace the spark plugs and the ignition coils. As it was the first time i have tackled this job, it took me a long time to do. I’m not proud of it but i do suffer from health problems that often times sends me into depression. When i finished the original job i of course caused a few others. There was a vacuum leak (or two) and the connectors of the fuel injectors were damaged. I found the vacuum leaks and corrected those. Then i discovered the injector connector issue and corrected that issue with zip ties. The van was running well until my wife found the fuel leak the next day.
Well for the fourth time i have pulled the wire harness and the fuel rail out. I found two o-rings that were damaged and replaced them. While i had the harness out i replaced the fuel injector connectors.
Now the van is back to running very well and my wife is very happy. Mission accomplished.
As for the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT 3L V6, i have had a vibration coming from the passenger side. After removing the time i discovered a slice in the inner edge of the tread. Enough to show the belts. Now it sits until i can get tires. Shouldn’t be any more than a week.
This weekend i will be changing the oil and filter in the van. Next weekend the tires of the Eclipse.
That’s all for now. Have a good weekend and wrench on kids.
