Winter Weather

Welcome back to Pop’s Garage.

This week has seen the cold weather continuing. It has also brought much sickness in our home. With that in mind i have not been able to work on any of our vehicles. The cold front will be leaving this week but it may bring rain with it. If all goes well, I will be ordering a battery relocation kit for the Eclipse and doing the oil change in the E-350.

With the Christmas season in full swing, I will not be posting as much. Once the holidays are over I will begin to find more things to do.

I do know that I will be looking at putting the Eclipse on a diet. Before i can start stripping out the interior i will need to put it on a scale and see how much it ways with me and a full tank. Once weighed I will begin to remove as much interior as practical. I will need to be able to carry family members around from time to time so a full strip will not be possible for now. Once I find a replacement vehicle I will be able to complete it’s weight loss program. There will be little else i will do to the Eclipse before starting the FWD to RWD conversion. I may build a cold air induction and possibly build a custom exhaust system from front to back. Other than these custom items I will perform regular maintenance.
