Rainy Days

Welcome back to Pop’s Garage.
This weekend we finally see the cold front come in and bring us rain and cold weather. I’m glad for the relief from the heat and humidity. I have always found it easier to warm up than to cool down. I can work long and with more energy when it is cool out.
With that said, I do not have an actual garage as of yet. So as you can imagine with all the rain that San Antonio has received in the last 4-5 days my work space is a bit flooded. This plan was to do an oil change in my wife’s 1999 Ford E-350. We use Royal Purple 5W30 to keep her purring like a kitten.
Aside from general maintenance on the family van our next project will be to resolve the charging issues in the 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse GT. A few years ago I replaced the battery post clamps and had to “extend” the positive and negative cables to reach. I believe that these connections are starting to break down and so I plan on replacing the cables. I plan on turning this car into a drag racer and so I will purchase a battery relocation kit and move it to the rear of the vehicle.
Thank you Kiera Fuller for the work on the new logo. It’s perfect.
That’s all for now. Hope you had a good weekend, stay safe and wrench on kids.
